Well, day 1 of the American Solar Challenge track race is over. Poly Montreal / Esteban (above) are clear leaders so far. The chart below (in the colours of a Nebraska sunrise) shows the average speeds (distance at 3.45 km per lap divided by the 8 hours of racing). The top 5 teams have already qualified for the road race. In terms of individual laps, Western Sydney University hit a top of 73.8 km/h.
I will update my race information page and teams list with news that comes in, and a few pictures. To the best of my knowledge, we still only have 12 teams qualified for the track.
