What about Germany? :O
Well, in 2015 Germany was only entered in the Cruiser class. If I add in the top 6 Cruiser class results (the only ones that can be easily placed in sequence), then the beer effect becomes even stronger!
Impressive reduction of variance; now let’s speculate about the causes . . .
There was a reason I linked to this XKCD cartoon. But ultimately the causes of both the beer production and the engineering excellence lie in history, I guess.
I do remember some inappropriate finish song by the Nuon team a few years ago which involved (among others) beer, so this may not be too far fetched. Following up on your previous post about marketing, I expect Beer brands fighting to sponsor the solar teams in 2019.
Now that is a spinoff I had not anticipated…
